Jóvenes dieron el puntapié inicial al campeonato escolar FUTSAL 2009

Más de 300 estudiantes de la Araucania y otras regiones del país participarán del evento deportivo en su XVI versión en Punta Arenas. Con un gimnasio lleno de jóvenes, acompañados por profesores y apoderados se dio inicio en la tarde de ayer al Campeonato de Fútbol de Salón

, en el cual participan 350 jóvenes deportistas, que cursan entre 1º y 4º medio, divididos en 32 equipos, 10 de los cuales están compuestos por mujeres.

Este año, viajaron delegaciones con 130 jóvenes provenientes de ciudades como Dalcahue, Coyhaique, Temuco, Pitrufquén, Santiago y también Puerto Natales y Porvenir, lo cual evidencia el gran esfuerzo realizado por la organización del Instituto Superior de Comercio (INSUCO).

“Niños, jóvenes y adultos han ido valorizando la práctica deportiva, no sólo desde el punto de vista de la salud y su autoestima, sino que también como vehículo de integración a la sociedad”, indicó Medina. Mientras que el Concejal Sergio Aguilante destacó que: “este torneo escolar es uno de los más importantes a nivel nacional”.

Desafortunadamente a esta cita deportiva no pudieron asistir los deportistas argentinos, que cada año participan del evento, debido a la Influenza Humana que por estos días aqueja a ambos países.

El torneo se extenderá hasta el día viernes 10 de julio y se juega a partir de la una de la tarde en el Gimnasio Fiscal de Punta Arenas.
